This year, in the Karavulbazar district, the divisions of “Bukhoro Agro Cluster” LLC are working at an accelerated pace on the construction and reconstruction of a large livestock complex for the cultivation of cattle.
The total cost of the project with a payback period of 5 years is more than 10 million US dollars.
To date, a new cowshed for 500 cattle and a milking parlor have been erected here, work is underway to reconstruct the existing buildings and communications of the complex. In parallel, work is being carried out jointly with the Turkish company "ILBAY INSAAT ENERJI SANAYI VE TICARET Ltd. STI." on the installation of equipment for the automation of the technological process. As part of this project, the most modern feeding, watering, milking, climate control, etc. systems will also be installed, which will contribute to an increase in production volumes.
Since the beginning of this year, 517 heads of Holstein heifers from the Federal Republic of Germany and 1600 heads of commercial cattle from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Karakalpakstan have been purchased and raised in the complex.
To create a solid feed base of the complex, forage crops are grown on 400 hectares, where more than 6500 tons of silage and haylage have already been harvested.
Eventually, 1000 heads of dairy cattle and 2000 heads of meat cattle will be raised at this complex located on 12 hectares. Up to 70 employees will work on their maintenance. The daily production volume will be 30000 liters of milk and 5000 kg of meat.
