These days, all farms in cities and districts of the region are working hard to plant more than 5.5 million mulberry seedlings and selected grape varieties on the edges of the fields and organize their care. Today, among the districts of the region Vobkent is the third largest in terms of area with 1218 hectares of vineyard gardens. Currently, the existing area of vineyards managed by about sixty farms is 277 hectares, and the area of vineyards in the households of the population is about 590 hectares.
Along with this, over the past three or four years, another 208 hectares of intensive gardening have been developed in «Garden Bukhara Agrocluster» LLC and other farms in the district, the areas of apple trees, apricots, and selected grape varieties have been expanded. Along with the expansion of vineyards, their yield also increases every year. In other words, the fact that the harvest of selected grape varieties grown on specialized farms in this area exceeds 3 thousand tons this season is also of great importance for the population. And if we add to it also the harvest grown in the households of the population, then this harman will have even more significant weight.
Within the framework of the nationwide project "Yashil Makon", which continues in the region of the capital, it was decided to expand the vineyards. For this purpose, at the end of last year, 22,300 seedlings of the black kishmish grape variety were brought from the Samarkand region and planted in farms. Currently, these seedlings are being cared for on specialized farms. In particular, Dilshod Boboev in the village of Khairkhush expanded the vineyard area of the farm to 44 hectares, while the vineyard area of the exclusive «Agroеxport» LLC under the leadership of Behruz Namazov, which is engaged in agriculture on the territory of the village of Ponob, was brought to 45 hectares. In these farms, where the material benefits of more than thirty families are provided, mainly grapes of such a fertile variety as black kishmish, toifi, husaini are grown.
In addition, within the framework of the nationwide project "Yashil Makon, the movement to expand orchards and vineyards, planting fruit and ornamental seedlings around fields is widely spreading in the district. In this regard, the experience of the farm "Sunnat Nematov's Garden" under the guidance of an experienced gardener Sunnat Nematov on the territory of the village of Rohkent is instructive. Currently, the entity, which began its activity in 2006, has 12.6 hectares of orchards, where in this agricultural season a total of 30 tons of cherry fruits were obtained from the existing cherry orchard with an area of 4 hectares, as well as 110 tons of apples and apricots from the orchard. In the late autumn of last year, a separate plot of land was prepared in this farm and 250 mulberry bushes were additionally planted, as well as 170 cherry seedlings in the aisle of the garden where Samarkand cherries were grown. For landscaping the area around the field, 300 poplar bushes have also been planted, which are being cared for.
In this regard, a training and practical seminar that was held yesterday at the limited liability company “Garden Bukhara Agrocluster” on the territory of the village "Kungirat", also serves this purpose. A visual educational and practical seminar, which was attended by officials of the region and the district, organizations related to agriculture, as well as heads of farms and subsidiary farms, demonstrated a master class on planting and caring for seedlings of fruit and ornamental trees, grape branches from specialists of the agrocomplex.
In it, the head of the Department of Agriculture of the regional khokimiyat Askar Javadov and the khokim of the district Farhad Umarov touched upon the measures to be implemented in the territory within the framework of the nationwide project "Yashil Makon". The responsible persons and heads of farms were required to put in order fruit seedlings, which are cared for locally, in the households of the population, to focus on landscaping each street, carefully prepare for the winter season, protect trees from frost, not to delay the implementation of agrotechnical measures in household plots.
