On January 24, 2025, a training on the topic “Criteria and indicators of the decent work principle” was held at Bukhoro Agrocluster LLC, organized by the Better Cotton Uzbekistan team. The event was attended by key specialists and employees of the agricultural divisions of the agrocluster.
The training was divided into two parts. The first part, which took place from 9:00 to 13:00, was aimed at training BCI standards coordinators, HR managers and specialists, employees responsible for labor protection and safety, as well as trade union representatives. During the training, the participants discussed the basic principles of decent work and how to implement them in the workplace.
In the second part of the training, from 14:00 to 16:00, seasonal and temporary workers, as well as foremen, took part. Practical classes were held for them on ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with BCI standards in daily activities.
This training was an important step in improving working conditions and ensuring decent working standards for all Agrocluster employees. Participants noted the importance of the knowledge they gained and expressed their willingness to apply it in practice to improve safety and working conditions in the field.
