Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov paid a practical visit to Bukhara region in order to familiarize himself with the reforms carried out in this area and their effectiveness.
The Minister of Agriculture got acquainted with the activities of a number of enterprises of the Bukhara Agro cluster system during his next visit to Bukhara. He visited a dairy processing plant where today 150 employees process 22 thousand tons of milk per year, of which forty-seven types of dairy products are prepared, such as kefir, milk, cheese, yogurt, cream, sour cream. Minister Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov dwelled on the issues of further stimulating the production and processing of import-substituting products and increasing exports of milk and dairy products, which will ultimately increase the well-being of the population.
During the constructive dialogue, the Minister expressed his proposals on providing high-quality seed products, mainly in the field of cotton and wheat imported from abroad, as well as supplying the population with high-quality food.
At the end of the visit, an expanded meeting was held with the participation of heads of the ministry, heads of the Department of Agriculture of the region, heads related to the industry, heads of the regional territorial administration of the ministry's system organizations. The meeting outlined measures to effectively organize the activities of the agricultural sector in the region.
