It should be noted that in the following years, the construction materials industry in Bukhara became one of the locomotives of the development of the region. Measures are being taken to further develop the industry, to make full use of the possibilities of developing the raw material base of non-metallic minerals in the development of the construction industry in the regions.
One of such initiatives is the project of organizing the production of granite slabs, carried out by the limited liability company "Bukhara Gold Granite", which is located on the territory of the rural gathering of citizens of Tutkunda Kogon district. More precisely, the company produces granite products that are used in construction. Raw materials for granite production are brought from mines in the Jongeldi massif of the Peshkun district.
The total cost of the project is US$ 3 million, of which US$ 1.5 million is the organizer's own funds, and US$ 1.5 million is the financial support of the Bukhara regional branch of the Joint-Stock Commercial Bank Uzsanoatkurilishbank. 60 jobs were created at the enterprise. Many of them are young people.
- Special granite processing technologies are modern, they were brought from Turkey, – says the founder of the enterprise Nadir Kilichev. - Workers-employees learn the secrets of the profession from Turkish specialists. The total volume of granite products produced by us will reach 120 thousand square meters. It is also planned to produce acrylic yarn products worth 26 billion soums.
Finished materials produced with modern foreign equipment are first delivered to construction sites being erected in our region. The surplus products, after meeting local needs, will be exported abroad.
The solemn ceremony dedicated to the opening of the enterprise was attended by heads of sectors, employees of the enterprise, young people led by the governor of the region Botir Zaripov.
Speaking at the event, the Governor of the region noted that the work on the rapid development of the building materials industry in our country allows us to process raw materials from non-metallic deposits in Bukhara in a cluster manner, as a result of which granite and marble deposits are being developed, the production of modern finishing stones is increasing, the level of localization of building materials is increasing.
It is worth noting that 60 of our compatriots are employed at this enterprise, where most of its products are intended for export, and a further increase in this number in the future indicates that the importance of the enterprise is not only in the development of the construction raw materials industry, but also in what is essential in ensuring employment of the population.
