In the Gijduvonsky district, «Bukhoro Agroсluster» LLC, in cooperation with the international consulting company «Herzi« (Switzerland), has been implementing a project for the construction of the «Bukhara Synthetic Tola» enterprise for the production of synthetic polyester fiber since the 3rd quarter of this year.
The construction of this enterprise in the near future will be of great importance for the economy of the region due to the need of textile enterprises in synthetic fibers for the production of mixtures with cotton fibers due to the limited resources of cotton fiber. With a production capacity of 50 000 tons of dacron (polyester) and an export potential of 78,5 million euros per year, it is planned to invest 70,0 million euros in the construction of this enterprise.
In order to prevent imports and reduce the cost of production, it is planned to produce polyester yarn and polyester staple fiber functioning on original PET (polyethylene terephthalate) granules, the production of which will be organized at the same enterprise.
42,5 million euros will be allocated for equipping the technological lines of the enterprise with advanced technological equipment from European countries.
The payback period of this project is designed for 5 years. With the launch of this enterprise, 450 jobs will be created here.
The commissioning of the enterprise is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2024.
