The possibilities of development of the Bukhara region were discussed

 

     On August 10, a meeting on the socio-economic development of the Bukhara region was held in Romitan district.

     At the beginning of the meeting, a ceremony was held to launch new industrial, service and social facilities in the Bukhara region. These are the enterprises “Vobkent tola cluster” in the Vabkent district, “Korakul kumush Kalava" in the Karakul district, “Bukhoro real moto" in the Karavulbazar district, “Equatorial Chodak" in the city of Bukhara, “Konchi” and “Prom Textile” in the city of Kagan, fat-and-oil enterprises in the Gijduvan and Peshkun districts, a hotel in the city Bukhara and medical association in Bukhara district.

     By pressing a symbolic button, the head of state put these complexes into operation.

     Then the issues of socio-economic development of the Bukhara region, the main tasks to be completed in this direction by the end of the year were considered.

     The current economic indicators are noted and additional opportunities for their increase are indicated.

     Over the six months of this year, the industry in Bukhara grew by 5.3 percent. Exports amounted to 124 million dollars. During this period, $ 250 million of direct investments were attracted, which is 1.5 times more than in the same period last year. However, in some cities and districts, this indicator has decreased.

     It was emphasized that 858 projects will be implemented by the end of the year and 15,000 jobs will be created. In general, 250 thousand people will have to be employed.

     The task has been set to reduce industrial imports by $150 million and bring exports to $400 million. It was noted that the full use of the tourism potential of the region will provide employment for 25 thousand people and provide $ 300 million in export revenue.

     Reports of the khokims of the region, cities and districts were heard on the issues discussed at the meeting.
