Every day of early spring for a farmer responsible and high-quality sowing campaign is a guarantee of high yields. In other words, ensuring the abundance of our people's table, all our sustenance depends on today's thorough measures and efforts.
In the Bukhara region, this year's cotton season begins somewhat prematurely. The reason is that this process is connected with the preparation of the earth, the variability of weather temperatures, the fact that March promises to be relatively hot. However, for the peasants, every day of spring is calculated.
This year Bukhara cotton growers intend to sow cotton on an area of 96 thousand 220 hectares and collect "hirman white gold" more than last year. In this process, 11 cotton and textile clusters of the region signed contracts with 3 thousand 38 farms in the districts for the cultivation of valuable raw materials for industry. This year, out of the total area, it is planned to sow 20,635 hectares under film, 2,141 hectares between rows, 8,750 hectares with 90 centimeters, 305 hectares between 76 centimeters and 64,389 hectares with 60 centimeter intervals.
At the demonstration and practical seminar held on March 8 of this year, organized before the sowing campaign in the field of the farm "Sharif Mirzo" in the SGG "Workak" of the Bukhara district, tasks on these issues were discussed. At the seminar, which was attended by heads of regional and district sectors, deputies of district khokims, heads of cotton and textile clusters, organizations and enterprises responsible for the industry, scientists and specialists of cotton and textile cluster enterprises, the processes related to agrotechnical requirements and standards for sowing seeds under film and in the open ground were explained through practical training, adjustment of equipment, ensuring uniform seed germination.
According to experienced dehkan specialists, if cotton is sown at a certain time, it will be possible to get early, smooth and healthy shoots. This is achieved when the seeds are placed in soft, moist soil and having a sufficient temperature. Premature or late sowing of seeds will not give the expected result. When the soil temperature reaches 13-14 degrees at a depth of 10 centimeters, sowing is considered the most favorable period for sowing seeds and sprouts a few days after sowing. The bare seeds are sown 5-6 days later than the omitted ones.
Speaking at a demonstration and practical seminar, the governor of the region Botir Zaripov, the deputy governor of the region for Rural and water Issues Amrillo Nazarov and others, speaking with their opinions on these issues, gave their recommendations and suggestions to the heads of farms, dehkans. The responsible officials were given recommendations on such important issues as the short-term and high-quality completion of sowing seeds, setting up seeders and preparing the soil for sowing.
- Since early spring, field work has been in full swing in our region. All efforts in this regard are aimed at the prosperity of the life of our people, at blessed sustenance. Therefore, we approach this event with great responsibility, high–quality sowing and seed collection is an important factor that will decide the fate of the crop by 50 percent, - says Askar Javodov, head of the Department of Agriculture of the regional khokimiyat - Therefore, in the conditions of the soil and climatic zone of Bukhara, it is extremely important to maintain the humidity of the earth, this is an agrotechnical event that is crucial significance for the fate of the harvest.
Based on many years of experience, it is planned to sow such localized cotton varieties in the region this season as "Bukhara-102", Bukhara-10"("Sardar"), "Bukhara-6", "Bukhara-8", "Porlock". Varieties are placed depending on the natural and climatic conditions of the regions, their characteristics. In the conditions of this year, when unstable weather conditions are expected, sowing and harvesting cotton in optimal terms will quickly and efficiently pay off by growing a rich harvest. For this purpose, the activities of 142 headquarters and 146 detachments operating on the scale of responsible sectors on 19 thousand 84 circuits are coordinated daily, as well as the work of 251 high–performance CASE-1200 seeders and other agricultural machinery. More than 1 thousand pieces of equipment are attached to the seed sowing units, 137 mobile workshops, 133 gas stations have been allocated. A total of 350 high-performance seeders will be used during the sowing campaign.
An exhibition of modern, high-performance agricultural equipment was organized at the seminar held in the Bukhara district. Farms were given practical instructions and recommendations on the wide application of scientific, innovative ideas in the cotton industry.
After that, in accordance with local customs, a ritual donation was organized and a blessing of cotton growers was held. On the same day, members of the Sharif Mirzo farm were among the first in the region to start sowing cotton.
A visual practical seminar dedicated to the beginning of the sowing season was also held in the fields of the farm “Buttermilk circle Zamini” Romitan district. The participants were given recommendations on the short-term and high-quality completion of planting seeds under the film and in open areas. To do this, it was emphasized that it is necessary to use the capabilities of existing equipment wisely. Issues requiring solutions have been identified.
After the seminar, in accordance with the annual tradition, a divine service was held in honor of the cotton growers in the shrine of Hozha Muhammad Boboya Samosi, during which noble prayers were offered to the dehkans with a request for a blessing, a rich harvest.
